In the hot spring of two fifteen I am living the Devils dream I can't stay in New York no more Gotta find a new home, I'm down to the core I lost my house, couldn't pay the rent. (No other choice) Yesterday it was any old day, then it bent (Happened so fast) I found a place in downtown Atlanta (Don't feel like home) Must find work, if I wish to survive I am living the Devils dream In the hot spring of two fifteen I am living the Devils dream In the hot spring of two fifteen I got a call from my old place It was a girl of prior disgrace I didn't let her get to me I am who I am, but she came back Things started getting real tight Old feelings are coming to light Not sure if it's a ruse For I cannot take this abuse You come back into my life Just to take my heart and soul and rip em apart Don't have time for your evil games it slowly kills me, like a poison dart Young dude in love to pass the time Testing the water, tossing a dime From Peyton to Donna, many in line Nothing but fun, like swinging on a vine Sniffing lines, off my desk Sneak into her room and out the next Careless living, from dusk till dawn Only a distraction from what's going on 6 am, checked into work No one to talk to, I'm just the new dork The boss, a real hardass, the life's out of him But I Can't lose this job, It'd be like losing a limb My small dark apartment, at my desk Doing loads of work on little rest Like this room my life isn't so bright Does he wake up? Is there an end in sight? The Devils dream In the hot spring of two fifteen I am living the Devils dream I can't stay in New York no more Gotta find a new home, I'm down to the core I lost my house, couldn't pay the rent. It was a hot summers day There is no school It was hot summers day There is no school All the time in the world Going unused I was with my friends Talkin bout what to do I was with my friends Talkin bout what to do We made all these plans None of which went through I am still asleep It is one afternoon I am still asleep It is one afternoon All the time in the world Sleeping life away I want to go outside But I have work and school I want to go outside But I have work and school The more we grow up The less time we have It was a hot summers day There is no school It was hot summers day There is no school All the time in the world Going unused

Persistence 05:23
All I do is try and Transcend the endless blue sky Hoping to find my way back home And put all the ways back right Yet I find myself staring into the mirror of time And watch my old reflection glisten While I slowly die And with each movement of this rock I seem to drift further away Perhaps all that's gold cannot stay Time is old as the clocks melt into place You are young as you pass away Like a segment we must end But in a circle it forever stands To my past the future's bent Though not much time has been spent It could be fine but I can't explain What continues to persist in my brain Edge of the world where we stand And observing all of the land We could stay suspended here Or continue throughout the years Whatever it will be we have to be Willing to let loose of the past Let go of the past

The Drag 04:32
I wake up in the early morn The crust is in my eyes The lady throws my clothes at me And a thirty pound paper sack She throws me out in the cold I haul myself down the street I say hey girl, that's a fine nice car In the heat while I'm in the cold And i say Oh man... What a drag The drag of the working boy And as I carry on I begin to wonder What life would be like without the drag They toss my body in the car I'm half awake in the seat The others seem to be just fine It's all part of the routine We go up to the big house now I walk through the big doors The hallways are all filled with drones Or at least that's what there trying to make And I say Oh man.. What a drag The drag of the working boy And as I carry on I begin to wonder what life would be like without the drag I come to light with my friends As they work us to our ends As we shuffle from room to room I think futile effort will bring us to doom My time is done in this place I'm finally home at last My boys and i sit and laugh As we converse about the drag I get myself into bed I put my head, down and stay As I lie down I slowly fall dead To repeat the cycle the next day
